More about the orphanage: The Children’s Circle International Inc. (CCII) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, offers a nurturing haven to 11 orphans who would otherwise have no place to call their own. More than just an orphanage, CCII feels like an authentic family home. A dedicated, tireless woman called Engudai is the mother figure who loves, nurtures and cares for all the ‘siblings’ in this unique family. Additionally, a dedicated team of local women and professionals work tirelessly to ensure that the children are provided with the care, opportunities, and resources they need to grow and flourish. CCII aims to provide a permanent, loving home for these remarkable children while simultaneously uplifting and empowering the local community. This is a revolutionary shift away from an institutionalized orphanage setting, toward a safe, stable environment akin to a true family home.
