In 2022, Trnsndntl☆Truth™ founders Leo and Becca visited a small orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia—an experience that deeply touched their hearts. During their stay, they formed a special bond with the children, who affectionately asked them to be their aunt and uncle. Since that transformative encounter, they have remained closely connected with the 12 children and their caregivers, and they have gone back to visit them every year.
Our first initiative is to provide the kind of social and emotional support found in a loving family, create fun experiences during our visits, and help fund additional activities when possible. We will also offer financial support as needed for unexpected emergencies faced by our adopted nieces and nephews at The Children’s Circle International group home. We’re deeply grateful and honored to be part of their extended family!
From the moment you step through the door, it’s clear that this home is truly something special. Warm, nurturing, and joy-filled, it feels more like a vibrant family household than a traditional orphanage. At the heart of it all is Engudai, a dedicated and energetic woman who is like a loving mother figure to all 12 siblings in this unique family. Supported by a hardworking team of local women and professionals, they work together tirelessly to ensure that the children have everything they need to grow and flourish.
