Ethiopia 🇪🇹
As the first initiative for our Universal Well-Being Foundation, we personally created Our Extended Family 501(c)(3) public charity, dedicated to our beloved extended family of adopted nieces and nephews in Ethiopia. Just as a real extended family can always count on each other, Our Extended Family is a source of love, connection, and support to vulnerable children and families in Ethiopia.

HOW IT ALL STARTED
It all started in 2022, when we unexpectedly got to visit a small group home for orphaned children in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. During the visit we formed a special bond with the children, who affectionately asked us to be their aunt and uncle. Since that transformative encounter, we’ve remained closely connected with the 12 children and their caregivers, and have gone back to visit them every year. In 2026, the family took in 6 more orphans and they now live in two homes within close proximity to each other. We’re looking forward to visiting our 18 nieces and nephews during our Ethiopia September 2026 trip!
I am thankful to God for gathering all my siblings from different parts of the country and uniting us into one special family.
